MAF AGM 2018

Dear Members,

The 2018 Annual General meeting will be held on Sunday, 22 April at 15h00 at the Malaysian Embassy (2 bis Rue Benouville, 75116 Paris) conference room.

We would like to encourage members with time and talent to join the executive committee.

Please ensure that your membership is up to date in order to vote and to stand for elections.

Membership renewals will not be accepted during the AGM.

If you have any questions on the validation of your 2018 membership, please contact MAF secretary Jun Yen (tanjunyen@gmail.com ) for verification.

For security reasons and to cater for refreshments, members are invited to sign up on the link provided. (closing date: 18 April 2018)

Malaysian Food Bazaar

Dear members of MAF and friends of Malaysia,

When’s the last time you had a home cooked Malaysian meal? Haven’t had it in a while? We understand. It could be rather cost prohibitive to travel to Malaysia just for the sole purpose of satisfying cravings. Need your Malaysian food fix? Join us! We’re offering you a gateway to the parade of gastronomical pleasures at the Malaysian Food Bazaar 2018 on Saturday, 7 April 2018 from 11h00 – 17h00.

A food coupon of €10 per booklet will be used on THE DAY.

Do take note transactions will only be made with these coupons. Also on sale are the tombola tickets. There are great prizes to be won with the purchase of the tombola tickets such as a return trip to Malaysia sponsored by Oman Air at http://www.omanair.com/.Each tombola ticket would be going for €5. Get it quick!

Should you want to order it in advance, go to http://bit.ly/2FxLnBy. This is to avoid long queues and possible disappointment. Coupons and tombola tickets can then be collected or even purchased from the Embassy of Malaysia in Paris before the event.

Piano concert by Muzaffar Abdullah

Paintball

Dear all friends of MAF,

Please be informed that there’s a paintball activity with the embassy’s staff on the 18th of February 2018.
Cost : EUR 43 per person including marker, overalls and 500 pallets for the whole day.
Those who wear glasses should use contact lenses.
Places are limited to 10 person, on first come first serve basis.

The restaurant waiters will set up specific tables for the fondue or raclette. (Example: a couple, one is having fondue, the other is having a fish or chicken dish) they will not be seated together.)

Santa Claus will make an appearance, so parents kindly prepare gift(s) & write down the name of your children on the gift(s) for Santa distribution.

IMPORTANT: …. “MAF No show policy” : Please kindly inform MAF with at least 3 days notice in case of no show to avoid wastage. 

The owner, Mr Cyril Braun is ok for MAF to bring champagne, wine, soft drinks/ mineral water & desserts.


By wed, 13 December, MAF  will forward to Le Chalet the quantity of the  main dishes/desserts/drinks which were selected by guests on the “on-line registration” form.

Yonex International Badminton

The Yonex International Badminton championship is taking place in Paris from 24-29 October and Dato’ Lee Chong Wei will be playing against Lin Dan
in the quarter finals on the 27th. Other Malaysian too will be also playing.
